This is an important communication regarding the modalities of organising the IIOSC-2022.

As you have been aware, the organising committee was making arrangements to hold the IIOSC-2022 in Hybrid mode during 14-18 March 2022. Accordingly, participants were offered the option to register their attendance either in-person at Goa or through Online mode. Majority of participants who registered so far have preferred Online option. Further, recent resurgence of Covid-19 resulted in stricter regulations w.r.t international / domestic travel and quarantine requirements in India and several other countries.

In this backdrop, the IIOSC Organising Committee and the International Scientific Planning Committee decided that it is most prudent to organise IIOSC-2022 only in ONLINE mode. We are disappointed to have lost an opportunity to meet all of you in person, but this decision has been taken in view of the safety of all participants and to ensure that the organisers are able to proceed with the arrangements without any further uncertainties.

The last date for registration has been extended to 15 Feb 2022 and registrations will be henceforth accepted only for Online participation (https://iiosc2020.incois.gov.in/IIOSC2020/Registration.jsp).

Participants who already registered for in-person participation may opt to receive a refund of the difference amount by filling up the consent form given below. Alternately, if you wish so, you may authorise the organisers to use such funds to cover the participation of Students and Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOPs) in the IIOSC.
